cat jumping upIt’s easy to train a cat to jump up, as this is what they usually do. Cats feel safe on an elevated place, often supervising people below. But, you can’t allow cats jumping over your sofa or table. And if you don’t check this behavior fast, you’re soon gonna have a cat that springs over your dinner table and kitchen counter, messing things around.

Train A Cat To Jump Up

First of all, find a surface where your cat can jump with ease. Wave the training wand in front of your cat and bring it over the surface where you want your cat to jump. Then say, “up.” If they jump up to get the wand, pat and reward. You can also place a treat at the center of the table and give you command to jump. If they do so, let her get the reward that is on the center!

Now, move a few steps away from the table and give the command “come.” If your cat comes, pat her and reward her with another treat. Repeat the process. A time will come when your cat will start responding to your commands without treats.

So, gather some treats; get a training wand; and be ready to test your patience; it’s time to train a cat!

Cats jump through hoops
If you didn’t know any better – nobody can train a cat, right? – you’d think they’ve been practicing. “When I tell people my cats run agility, they want to take my temperature.

How to Train a Cat
If all you do is simply punish for bad behavior, the cat sees you as arbitrary and unfair, and shows disdain by doing the bad behavior whenever you turn your back.
