My Cat Hops On Counters & Tables

>Many cat owners allow this cat behavior. They think it’s okay to let their pussy practice her jumping skills on tables and counters. But, this behavior can create a mess when you place your meals on the table. Also, it can become a menace when you’re sitting with guests and your cat suddenly shows her presence by jumping on the table!

Teaching Appropriate Cat Behavior

First of all, you must stop placing left over food on the counter. Your cat will get easy access to food when she’s hungry and will forget her bowl. Keep the counter squeaky clean. Paste sticky tape on the counter. Your cat would hate to get her paws all sticky. One or two times and she’ll stop jumping over the counter.

One nice way to prevent your cat from jumping onto tables is squirting water over her. She’ll get so startled that she won’t try again.

In order to discourage any bad cat behavior, you must create unfavorable situations for your pussy to carry out the behavior. Once she learns that it’s not enjoyable to do this anymore, she’ll stop.

Don’t let your cat carry on with her unacceptable cat behavior. You’ll find it difficult to handle her later. Try to instill good habits in your pet right from the beginning.
