Help – My Cat Is Chewing Wool!
More Cat Behaviour Solutions
Your cat’s chewing wool! For Siamese cats, this is common cat behavior, not some ninth wonder. The problem lies in the need for fiber. Some cats need more fiber while some crave for extra fiber. If there’s a deficiency of fiber in your cat’s diet, she is likely to chew on your woolen socks or jersey. Yummy for her! What can you do to prevent this cat behavior? Just hide these “temptations” from your cat! Stock your socks and other woolen clothes in the closet or at places where your kitty can’t reach. And this includes the woolen throw over of your sofa.
This Sock Sucks!
If you think this is too much for your poor pussy – depriving her of the fiber craving – leave a useless pair of socks around. Before you leave the socks and resume your work, spray some anti-chewing formula on them! So, when your cat reaches for the socks and starts chewing, she will be repelled by the bitter taste of the formula. Yuck! Now, you must substitute the woolen clothes with dry food. This should stop this annoying cat behavior and also appease her fiber appetite. In case she rejects the dry food, (some cats can get really finicky at times!) add some bran to the food. Cat grass also tastes good. You shouldn’t yell at your cat every time she shows some unpleasant cat behavior. Act with calmness. You need to make her understand what is acceptable and what is not.
Toys From Petco To Help With Chewing Problems
Help! Does anyone know how to break a cat from chewing power cords?
My tabby cat has a horrible habit of chewing cords. She has chewed two of my husbands power cables for his laptop. Luckily, she did not get electrocuted then.
Cat Chewing Wires!
My super-friendly cat chewed through some speaker cables in the master bedroom. I like him a bunch and he’s a good beastie, however trying to keep him out of the master bedroom’s tough, because he keeps insinuating himself with various smooth ploys.
